Seniors Program: Nutrition, Gardening, Self Defense, and the Moving More Program

Enjoy Good Food with Good Company

Instructor Eunice Hill – Certified National Nutritionist from the Utah State University

Growing up, we always loved days spent preparing meals together in the home. Sometimes there would be three or even four generations packed into the kitchen, with everyone helping out. Comfort Food at the Kitchen Table is a private gathering that has those nostalgic notes and sentimental flavors. It’s more than a cooking class; it’s a communal experience everyone will cherish for years to come.

Gardening is a way to increase healthy eating. In 2025, we introduced the local seniors to Micro-Green and sampled the amazing taste of micro-green broccoli, clover, and alfalfa.

Moving more is an important part to improve your health. We have incorporated the next physical activities: chair yoga, Tai-Chi, Cardio Drumming, Salsa Aerobics, and Lift.
